In cooperation with the Town of Bedford, area libraries in Katonah, Bedford Hills, Bedford Village, Pound Ridge, and Mount Kisco are encouraging residents of all ages to join in a Community Read of Just Mercy by Bryan Stevenson. The Community read will take place between January 15 – March 15, 2021.
A Community Read is an open reading experience that engages people within a region to join together as neighbors focused on a single book. Adults and teens within the Bedford Central School District and Katonah are invited to participate.
Please contact one of our participating libraries to obtain a copy of the book, which is also available in a Young Adult version. You may also be interested in reserving the 2019 film of the same title, available on DVD, which is also available free on the Equal Justice Initiative website.
