American Short Stories Festival

An event every week that begins at 4:00 pm on Wednesday, repeating until October 28, 2020

A 4-week mini course presented by Dr. Robert DiYanni on selected American short stories, co-sponsored by the Pound Ridge Library and the Bedford Free Library.  Session 1 will discuss two 19th century authors, Nathaniel Hawthorne and Edgar Allan Poe.  Session 2 will discuss two 20th century authors, Eudora Welty and Katharine Anne Porter.  Join us for lively conversations about these four American authors.  Copies of the stories can be emailed if requested upon registration.

Dr. DiYanni is a Professor of Humanities at New York University and the author of several books including MODERN AMERICAN POETS, a text to accompany the PBS television series, “Voices and Visions”.
