Local Gardening Book Discussion
March 24 @ 7:00 pm

Here’s a perfect read for March: NOAH’S GARDEN by Sara Stein (1933). This read counteracts dull winter days during Women’s History Month with gardens that support nature. And, it’s all about Pound Ridge. In this book, Stein, now deceased, describes the unmaking of a gardener and how she came to garden in support of nature. Stein lived and gardened in Pound Ridge; the natural history she described is ours. An early leader in restoration and native plant gardening, Stein is respected by others including Doug Tallamy, Carolyn Summers, and Michael Pollan Join this book discussion and learn more about the movement today while meeting like-minded people in our community. A special walk through the actual garden will be held in April.
The discussion will be led by Carrie Sears with James and Ellen Best on three Wednesday evenings, March 17, 24 and 31 at 7:00pm via Zoom.
To join, please RSVP below and the link will be sent prior to the discussion.
