Pound Ridge Culture Quest is a new series featuring professionals from all disciplines: writing, music, visual arts and the performing arts welcomes Michael Boriskin, internationally-acclaimed pianist and recording artist. Mr. Boriskin’s accomplishments are auspicious. His career has taken him to over 30 countries and across four centuries of music. He has performed on the world’s foremost stages as a soloist with leading international orchestras and toured the world with Mikhail Baryshnikov. He has hosted his own NPR broadcast series heard on over 200 stations coast-to-coast and has worked with nearly every American composer over the last 40 years. He has organized programs for Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall and the U.S. State Department and has written articles for the Library of Congress and numerous other publications. As Artistic and Executive Director of Copland House for over 20 years, he has led this award-winning creative center for American music to world-wide prominence.
