You Are What You Read
September 22 @ 4:00 pm
Please join us for a virtual book talk by Dr. Rober DiYanni on his latest book, YOU ARE WHAT YOU READ. The book describes how you can enrich your life by becoming a more skillful and engaged reader of literature. According to Dr. DiYanni, we are what we read. Reading may delight us or move us; we may read for instruction or inspiration. But even more than these reasons, in reading, we discover ourselves. YOU ARE WHAT YOU READ is an essential guide for all who want to enrich their reading – and their life. Dr. DiYanni is Instructional Consultant at New York University and has taught English and Humanities for four decades at several universities including City University of New York, and Harvard University. He is the author and editor of many books including ARTS AND CULTURE: AN INTRODUCTION TO THE HUMANITIES and MODERN AMERICAN POETS, a text that accompanied the PBS television series “Voices and Visions.” Dr. DiYanni is a Bedford resident who over the years has conducted many literature courses here at the Library.
You wont want to miss Dr. DiYanni’s presentation via Zoom on September 22 at 4:00pm.
