Roxane’s designs have won numerous blue ribbons and top NGC design awards at New York and Connecticut Flower Shows. Terry has told stories onstage in New York\, Boston\, Miami\, Burlington\, Washington DC\, and at numerous local shows throughout New England. A free translation of Ikebana might be “living flowers” or “making flowers come alive”. When flowers are beautifully arranged in a container\, the arrangement evokes the whole of nature itself\, and people’s relationship with nature. \nPresented by Pound Ridge resident Roxane Wasserman. Roxane’s designs have won numerous blue ribbons and top NGC design awards at New York and Connecticut Flower Shows. She has also done weddings\, ikebana exhibitions\, flower shows and floral designs for the home. Roxane currently serves as Director of the Sogetsu NY Branch\, 1st Vice President of Ikebana International New York Chapter #7\, Past President of the Pound Ridge Garden Club and NGC\, Inc. Accredited Judge. \nFlowers will be provided. Some basic materials will be available for sale (or bring your own). See prices below. Please bring scissors suitable for cutting flowers\, scissors for cutting branch material\, kenzan (2 1/2 – 3 1/2 inches)\, a container or jug to hold water\, a small towel\, and a container based on style of design: low container (11-14 inch diameter\, 2 inches tall) or tall narrow container (approximately 3 1/2 inch diameter and 11-12 inches tall).
