Join us for The Bruce Museum’s debut at the library for this innovative, creative holiday week special!
Who are we looking at when we look at portraits? How do artists choose their subjects and how does their representation of an individual affect the viewer? This program will explore portraiture and figural representations in two-and three-dimensional artwork from a variety of time periods and artistic movements. Participants will explore the artistic process from several different viewpoints, experience figurative artwork in a variety of mediums, and create their own self portrait.
All paper, pencils, and colored pencils will be provided by The Bruce Museum: just bring yourselves and have a wonderful, imaginative time!
