A piano lecture recital featuring acclaimed pianist Peter Muir.
An exhilarating, toe-tapping celebration of American popular music of the 1920s, from the including works by George Gershwin, Irving Berlin, James P. Johnson and others.

Dr. Peter Muir is a versatile international pianist,conductor, and educator with a Ph.D., in Musicology.With a impressively broad repertoire embracing jazz,blues, ragtime, and classical. The New York Times described his playing as “potent” and Newsday praised his “terrific” performances.
This piano lecture/recital presents a virtuoso exploration of an influential musical genre and its interrelationship with the toe-tapping piano style of rags and jazz.
