Energy Action Committee meeting

The Energy Action Committee will be meeting in the Schaffner Room. This event is open to the public.
Recently, there’s been confusion surrounding issues residents are experiencing with their electric bills. Nick Tedrow, a senior program manager for Westchester Power (WP), will be at the Pound Ridge Library at 6:30 pm on Wednesday, April 12 for an information session about fixed low-rate, 100% renewable electricity supply options available to our community. Most Pound Ridge residents are automatically opted-in to this program, but since many people were alarmed and confused by spikes in their NYSEG electricity rates this winter, the Pound Ridge Energy Action Committee (PREAC) invited Nick to explain the WP program, to help homeowners verify if they are, in fact, enrolled in WP, and help them get enrolled if they aren’t already. If you have questions about your enrollment, we recommend bringing a copy of a recent NYSEG bill. We would like to encourage carpooling while there is construction in the library parking lot. The presentation will be held in the Schaffner Room.
