A special Juneteenth in-person event featuring Andromeda Turre in Growing Up Jazz. Growing Up Jazz teaches African American history through the lens of Jazz. Andromeda Turre, a jazz vocalist, is a Cornell University certified diversity practitioner who learned Jazz history from such icons as Dizzy Gillespie, Max Roach and Wynton Marsalis. Host of her own Growing Up Jazz show on SiriusXM, Andromeda has also performed internationally with artists such as Ray Charles and Michael Bublé. “Jazz is the oral history of the African experience in America.” You won’t want to miss this incredible presentation by this acclaimed artist and popular host.
