This interactive and engaging program is designed to bring together individuals of all ages from the neurodiverse community in a welcoming and supportive environment. Whether you’re looking to make new friends, enjoy fun activities, or simply have a good time, this event promises something special for everyone.

This event features a visit from some furry friends from Rescue Right Dog & Cat Rescue Adoption & Sanctuary of Bedford NY. Come hold, pet and cuddle several sweet and gentle dogs and cats. They can’t wait to meet you!

Afterward, unleash your creativity in our engaging arts and crafts program where you’ll decorate charming wooden crafts. Decorate and personalize your one-of-a-kind creation to take home.

This event is made possible through a grant from the American Library Association: “Libraries Transforming Communities” which provides community engagement and accessibility resources to small and rural libraries to help them better serve people with disabilities. Thanks to this grant, the library was able to acquire sensory toys, a sensory tent, sensory activity boxes, noise-cancelling headphones, talking books, and various other technologies to support non-neurotypical individuals. Coming soon: we’re excited to introduce a Sensory Room, with more enhancements and programming to come.
