“People: Looking at Representation in Art” with The Bruce Museum

The popular Bruce Museum is making a visit to The Pound Library just for you!

Who are we looking at when we look at portraits?  How we do artists choose their subjects and how does their representation of an individual affect the viewer?  This program will explore portraiture and figural representations in two- and three-dimensional artwork from a variety of time periods and artistic movements students will explore the artistic process from several different viewpoints, experience figurative artwork in a variety of mediums, and create their own self-portrait.

*Be ready to create your own art with pencils and colored pencils!

There will be a limit of 25 participants for this program.   Please register on library website.  RSVP function will be enabled in early February.

Registration guarantees a spot in the program. Registration does not guarantee a parking spot. The library encourages carpooling as much as possible.
