Pound Ridge Land Conservancy and the Pound Ridge Conservation Board have collaborated on a new talk series, “Pound Ridge: Living with Nature” and will present the first talk, “Local Seeds: Nature’s Survival Package.”
Join us for an engaging conversation about how the quality of our environment rests largely on our plants. In Pound Ridge, we prefer native species over introduced or invasive species. Help to fight the battle for biodiversity by expanding your relationship to, knowledge of and support for our native plants. Discover how (and why) to sustainably collect, store and preserve seeds from native plants that will allow you to enjoy the fruits of your labor for years to come, in and beyond your yard.
Featuring:
Carrie Sears – science educator, master gardener, past Pound Ridge Conservation Board member.
Emily Rauch – Native Plants Program Manager, Hilltop Hanover Farms and Environmental Center.
Lindsey Feinberg – Native Plants Curator, Hilltop Hanover Farms and Environmental Center.
This program will be simultaneously broadcast on Zoom.
