Storytime with Pediatric Dentist & “Robin the Robot”

Join us for this very special event!

Josephine Korlei Mensah, DMD, pediatric dentist at Pound Ridge Cosmetic Dentistry, will be here to conduct a storytime and Q&A about oral health with “Robin the Robot.”    Children love “Robin the Robot.”   She can talk, play games, and help children feel comfortable.   Robin has a good memory and can even recognize faces!

Dr. Mensah received both her bachelors of arts and dental degree from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. Following dental school, she completed a general practice residency at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital in Manhattan. Dr. Mensah obtained her specialty training in pediatric dentistry from St. Barnabas Hospital in Bronx, New York where she served as chief resident.

Education is one of her passions, and Dr. Mensah is currently on faculty at St. Barnabas Hospital Health System in the Bronx, where she enjoys educating and inspiring future pediatric dentists. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, and a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.

Dr. Mensah spent her childhood in the Hudson Valley and she has been working in private practice in New York for over a decade. What she loves most about pediatric dentistry is getting children and parents to understand why their dental health and consequently, overall health is so important, and getting her patients excited about coming back to the dentist! In a calm and comforting manner, she strives to make each child’s visit to the dentist a fun and pleasant one.

When she’s not fighting cavities, she enjoys traveling, tennis, learning Spanish, and most of all being a full-time mother of two young, energetic children.
