Join us for a very special Storytime as we welcome Jessica Foglio, founder of the STAR Foundation (Salla Treatment And Research), as our guest reader!

Jessica is the mother of 9-year-old Ben, who lives with Salla Disease—an ultra-orphan rare genetic disorder. Amidst the challenges of Ben’s diagnosis, Jessica founded A STAR FOR BEN, a foundation that now supports 56 researchers and recently received the prestigious Chan-Zuckerberg RARE AS ONE Award. As the foundation continues to grow, it has expanded its mission and is now proudly known as the STAR Foundation, striving to represent and support all children living with Salla Disease.

Jessica will share the heartwarming children’s book Sami’s Smile, which was inspired by a young girl named Sami who also has Salla Disease. The book, which reached #1 on Amazon, celebrates joy, acceptance, and the beauty of every child’s smile.

This inclusive and meaningful Storytime is a wonderful opportunity for families to come together and celebrate stories that inspire compassion and understanding. All are welcome!
