Pound Ridge Conservation Board and Pound Ridge Land Conservancy ‘How Our Landscapes Can Support the Environment’

April 8 @ 7:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Pound Ridge Conservation Board and Pound Ridge Land Conservancy continue their Spring series with ‘How Our Landscapes Can Support the Environment’.

Did you know our yards play a vital role in supporting biodiversity, improving air and water quality, and building resilience against toxins and flooding? Thoughtful landscaping can support wildlife, reduce pollutants, manage stormwater, and store carbon. Learn practical steps to transform your outdoor space into a healthier, more sustainable environment.

This event will take place in the Schaffner Room and will be simultaneously broadcast on Zoom.
To register to attend in person, scroll down below and click on the ‘Going’ green button, or to attend via Zom click here. The login information will be sent to you immediately.

This event will be led by Filippine Hoogland. Filippine was born in Amsterdam, raised by garden enthusiasts, started to work on dairy farms in the Netherlands, Italy, and France since her teens. She returned to Amsterdam to receive a masters in arts, and then left for the USA and started to work as a professional landscaper. Fillipine started the Healthy Yards organization, consisting of professional and master gardeners, and garden “passionates” in the Westchester area. She has also received several awards for her work as a promoter of sustainable landscaping, among them, she received the Lady Bird Johnson Native Plant Award.
