Any former Trustee may be elected an Honorary Trustee by the Board of Trustees.
The Board may, but need not, consider the following former Trustees for election to Honorary Trustee:
- Any officer who served a one-year term
- Any Trustee who served three full three-year terms (mandatory retirement)
- Any Trustee who has distinguished himself/herself, either through prolonged length of service and/or through dedicated service
The term of Honorary Trustee shall not expire; however, a listing of the names of Honorary Trustees which appears on the Library’s stationery or other publications may be limited as the Board deems appropriate.
Any former Trustee may decline to serve as Honorary Trustee.
