The Pound Ridge Library is pleased to offer a new educational concept in life-long learning: a series of college level DVD seminars from The Teaching Company/Great Courses encompassing a wide variety of subjects given by outstanding scholars from major colleges and universities in the United States and Canada. This program, the first of its kind in this country, is designed to provide a collegial, small group setting for courses “you didn’t get a chance to take in college, but wanted to”. The seminars, originated and moderated by Lawrence Brotmann of Pound Ridge, NY, are held at the library on Thursdays at 1:00 pm and consist of four 30-minute weekly lectures per session, for periods of 9 weeks per course.
Enrollment is limited in order to keep the group sizes small. Pre-registration is required and can be made by contacting the library at 914-764-5085. Light refreshments will be provided by the library.
